Am I late on the get go here or what?!
I just went over to my Google Picasa Photo album and noticed….my free space allotment is now up to 1GB (and like every other Google project, “…and counting!)
That’s right…1GB of free space and counting!
I have been ashamed as a digital camera user at the lack of good FREE photo album/storage sites out there. Until Google and Picasa became buddy-buddy.
Webshots was always so/so and of course there is the dominant Flickr…but I found their UI’s to be extremely unintuitive (especially for the computer illiterate…aka…my parents).
PicasaWeb albums for me was love at first site. Simply the easiest way to share your photos with anyone and packing just the right features.
- Individual RSS feeds for your albums
- 3 Different Gallery views
- Slideshow capability
- Captions
Sure, your favorite photo gallery site may have had these features before, but they are no where near as intuitve or easy to use as the Picasaweb Albums by Google…
I don’t know how the “G-men” do it, but they do.
What do you guys use as your primary photo gallery/storage site and what do you think about the new features Google has injected into their Picasa web product?
